A few things to note before getting on the bus:

- On the day of travel, board the bus.
- When you reach Singapore’s checkpoint, leave the bus and head to immigration
- Once you’ve passed clearance, you will need to go down the escalator, walk to the bus stop and take the bus to JB Checkpoint
- When you reach JB’s checkpoint, leave the bus again (with your luggage) and head to JB checkpoint, scan your luggage.
- After you’ve cleared immigration, go to the bus stop and take the same bus to Mersing Jetty (do take note of your bus plate number!)
2. Fill Up Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) Before Entering Malaysia
While foreigners are required to fill up the arrival card before entering Malaysia, Singapore citizens are exempted from this arrangement.

3. What Is The Travel Duration From Singapore To Mersing Jetty
It takes 3 hours (during off-peak season such as weekday afternoons) to 6 hours (during peak period such as the eve of a long weekend or public holiday) to travel.
For me, it takes an average of 4 hours to cross the border in the evening or on the weekend (+ 1 hour if you are taking the bus from Larkin Sentral to catch the ferry).

5. Bus From Singapore To Mersing Via Larkin Sentral (Not Direct)
If all direct buses are sold out, you can take the bus from Larkin Sentral. However, be prepared to allocate an extra hour for transfers.
Step 1: Bus from Singapore to Larkin Sentral
- From Kranji MRT Station: Bus CW1, SBS 170
- From Queen Street Terminal (nearest to Bugis and Rochor MRT): Bus CW2
- From Newton Food Centre: CW5

Step 2: Bus from Larkin Sentral to Mersing Jetty
From Larkin Sentral (also known as Larkin Bus Terminal), you will need to take the Causeway Link bus to Mersing Jetty.
