REVIEW: Legoland Themed Hotel Room Malaysia (Updated Photo 2024)
As I’ve said in another Legoland travel guide, homestays shouldn’t be your first choice when choosing an accommodation nearby Legoland Malaysia. It’s only fine if you’re on a budget.
For me, Legoland Malaysia Hotel is always the best.
From the moment you arrive, you’ll be totally immersed in the world of Legoland. Which, of course, the kids will love.
In this article, I will be sharing some photos and a bit of my stay at Legoland Hotel.
I hope this will give you some insight into why this hotel always takes the cake for me.

1. Legoland Hotel Vs Nearby Hotel Vs Homestay
If you still haven’t decided on which hotel you should stay during your trip to Legoland Malaysia, maybe this review will help you.
First of all, Legoland Hotel should always be your top choice.
And that is simply because of the experience. It’s so well-designed with the LEGO theme that you can’t wait to just play once you’re there.
Staying at Legoland Hotel also ensures comfort and convenience. The decor is vibrant, playful, and will make you feel like a kid again. What other hotel can do that?
Secondly, if you are on a budget and want a homestay within walking distance, Afiniti Residences is a good choice.
It’s only 3 minutes away from Legoland Malaysia and by far the best homestay around the area.
Please read this guide that I have written: Afiniti Homestay Near Legoland Malaysia Guide
Thirdly, if you’re looking for an alternative, Hotel Ramada by Wyndham Meridin and Sunway Big Box Hotel are pretty decent luxury hotels.
They provide a shuttle to Legoland Theme Park and are connected to Sunway Big Box Retail Park.

2. Arrive Early at 9:30am
Try your best to arrive early at around 9:30am before Legoland Malaysia Theme Park opens.
Once you’re there, you can pre-check into your room at the front desk and leave your luggage in a corner.
The Legoland Hotel lobby is really fun to explore if it’s your first time. Let me show you.
Firstly, check out the gigantic LEGO Ship and LEGO Castle in the lobby. You can’t miss it.
Here is a corner for kids. It is decorated with oversized bricks and soft floors so you don’t have to worry about your kids falling and getting hurt.
There is also a LEGO retail shop. However, I think the store at the Theme Park has a wider and better selection.
3. Go To Legoland Theme Park at 10:00am
Because you’re early, you won’t get the room access card until check-in time at 2:00pm.
So until then, take advantage of being early. Go down to the basement and head on to the theme park before the weather gets too hot.
To redeem your ticket or annual pass, go to the counter.

4. Checking In To Pirate Themed Room
The moment we entered the elevator, we were met with an unexpected delight.
The interior has been transformed into a mini disco, adorned with disco ball lights, images of beloved mini-figures dancing, and lively music to accompany your journey up or down.
It’s one of the many charming details that makes this hotel a truly magical place for children.
I booked “PIRATE Theme Room”, which is on Level 5. As expected, I felt like I’d stepped into the world of pirates once I got off the elevator.
Let me show you my Pirate Themed Room. As I’ve said, Legoland Themed Room is just super unique and incomparable to any 5-6 star hotel.
The room basically has 2 sections and can sleep up to 5 people
One section has a double decker bed. And yes, it’s very comfortable.
FYI, each room has in-room games and a free LEGO set. Don’t forget to enjoy them.
5. Activities At Legoland Hotel Malaysia
There are 2 main areas for kids and adults to play. When you’re checking in, please ask the front desk staff for the activities timetable.
The type of shows and entertainment will change from time to time.
During our trip, my daughter waited eagerly for the balloon show. A staff member was making a lot of balloons for the kids to play.
6. Dining At LEGOLAND Hotel Malaysia
At Legoland Hotel, there is a restaurant called “Bricks Family Restaurant”.
Complimentary breakfast buffet is provided to all hotel guests. However, don’t expect the food to be like the ones at 4-5 star hotels.
On the other side of the ground floor, you can find a restaurant called “Di Mattoni Italian Fun Dining”.
7. Getting To And From LEGOLAND Hotel Malaysia
If you are local, feel free to come with your own transport.
But what if you’re from Singapore?
There are buses, taxis, private cars, and coaches that will take you to Legoland Hotel, but you should know that 90% of people come by private car services.
The best way to cross the border would be by MPV Private Car Service. It’s an affordable way for families or small groups to travel to Legoland.
I have also written a comprehensive guide called “What Is The Best Transport From Singapore To Legoland”. Please have a read so that you’ll make the best decision.
8. Final Thoughts With Some Tips
